About Us

Ethan and Eddy are lifelong best friends born and raised in Nashville, TN. Our friendship started at the age of 3 when we started playing soccer together, and grew as we attended the same schools, lived in the same neighborhoods, and spent the majority of our hours together.

During college, our competitive spirit began to turn entrepreneurial on weekends and during the evening hours after our summer internships. We started by building an odd jobs company, doing everything from moving and hauling to landscaping and junk removal. When we saw an opportunity in couch flipping, we scaled that up and flipped over 200 couches. Then during COVID, we started a sanitizing business serving the Nashville airport, school buses, and many small businesses across Middle TN. Every step taught us valuable lessons about hard work, efficiency, and managing operations - all of which laid the foundation for our real estate journey.

We both graduated with engineering degrees (from UAH and Elon) and briefly worked corporate jobs in construction management and solar farm development - but we had stacked capital, and our primary interest turned to real estate. We both bought our first single-family homes as house hacks, which gave us a foot in the door, but we quickly realized it was too slow of a path to scale and reach our big goals. We quit our full-time jobs, started Brio Group, and went all in on flipping houses and acquiring multifamily properties. Since then, we’ve focused on small to mid-size apartment buildings prioritizing maximizing our ownership.

In the past three years, we’ve acquired 89 units in Middle TN and North AL, consisting of 2 single families, a triplex, a 5-plex, an 11-unit, a 24-unit, and a 44-unit.

While we focus on growth, what sets us apart is how obsessed we are with the operations. We keep everything in-house - self-managing our properties, directly overseeing renovations, and working closely with our laborers and vendors. This gives us a deep understanding of our markets and strong control over our costs, allowing us to reposition properties efficiently, boost returns, and drive our investment strategy of maximizing the velocity of our capital.

We’re young, hungry, and committed to scaling, but we also know that strong relationships are the key to long-term success. As we continue to grow, we value the partnerships we build with local owners and investors who understand our strategy and vision, and have walked where we want to go.

For Brio Group, hard work isn’t a slogan - it’s the standard.

And we will not be outworked.
